Effect of Microstructural Transformation upon Edge Heat Treatment on Stretch Flangeability of Ultrahigh-Strength Steel with Sheared Edge

چکیده
Fracture at sheared edges upon stretch flanging is a severe problem for ultrahigh-strength steel (UHSS). This study was focused on the improvement of flangeability by heat treatment edge UHSS samples. The materials studied were dual-phase and full martensite steel. samples pierced with 10 mmΦ holes then heat-treated whole-area or partial-area heating. heated tested hole expansion test to determine ratio (λ). mechanical properties microstructural transformation depending heat-treatment temperature also investigated. experimental results heating showed that λ steels improved up Ac1 (the which ferrite starts transform austenite). significantly decreased between Ac3 has transformed completely increased again over Ac3. dependence explained recovery work hardening transformation. short-time sufficient improve λ.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Experimental Study of the Effect of Laser-Cutting Process Parameters on Heat Distribution and Cutting Edge Quality of Steel Sheets
This study aimed to evaluate Laser-cutting process of Mild Steel St37 sheets with two different thicknesses. In order to evaluate the quality of cutting edge and the depth of the area affected by the heat, several tests were conducted to determine the effect of parameters such as Laser power, Laser beam movement speed and pressure of axillary gas on the quality of cutting edge and the depth of ...

Background and Objective: Efforts to improve the effectiveness of noise barriers have been made, including shape, aesthetics, form and gender. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the angle upper edge in shaped noise barriers with a T-shaped upper edge. Materials and Methods: A 2D boundary element method (BEM) was used to predict the insertion loss of the tested ba...
